Egg Warmers

When I was a child we often ate boiled eggs for breakfast and to keep them warm we had small woolly hats to put on the eggs. I remembered that the other day and felt the urge to knit up some egg warmers. I chose Rauma Finullgarn in grey (405) and scrap yarn in green (455), orange (461) and yellow (450) to match our egg cups. What a fun little project! I thought I would share the pattern with you if your eggs need a little warmth as well :)

Yarn: Rauma Finullgarn
Needles: 3mm dpn´s
CO 28 sts using scrap yarn in preferred color.
K1, p1 for 2 rows.
Change to your main color and k1, p1 for 3 rows then continue in stockinette for 10 rows.
Next row: *k2, k2 tog* - repeat
Knit 1 row.
Next row: *k1, k2 tog* - repeat
Knit 1 row.
Nex row: *k2 tog* - repeat
Cut your thread and pull it through the remaining 7 sts. Weave in all ends.

Make a pompom and sew it to the top.

Ooops.... thankful I actually boiled the eggs before the photoshoot!

Lanka: Rauma Finullgarn
Sukkapuikot: 3mm
Luo 28 silmukkaa tehostevärilangalla.
Neulo 2 kerrosta 1o,1n.
Vaihda pääväriin ja neulo 3 kerrosta 1o, 1n ja jatka sitten sileää neuletta 10 kerrosta.
Seuraava kerros: *2o, 2o yht* - toista
Neulo 1 kerros sileää.
Seuraava kerros: *1o, 2o yht* - toista
Neulo 1 kerros sileää.
Seuraava kerros: *2o yht* - toista

Katkaise lanka ja vedä se silmukoiden läpi. Päättele langat ja tee pipolle tupsu.
